“My friend and I are visiting Beacon for the first time. Your blog is exactly what we needed. Amazing.”
“Hello dear one! … thank you for your work on the blog. As a new resident of Beacon (moved in the summer), your blog has been my compass. Thank you for your generosity”
“I was wondering if you have a blog or post up about Thanksgiving for the Beacon area? What restaurants are open, what are the prices for the Thanksgiving dinners, and their Thanksgiving menu? I would just be so grateful to have it! I'm from Saratoga, and my parents still live there, but now I live in Forest Hills Queens. My cousins live in Weehawken, NJ - so we all try to meet somewhere in the middle so no one has to drive too far, and if someone has to work the next day they can go home after...or if none of us have to work we want to be in a nice town to spend the night in...aka Beacon, where we can hang out and have a nice time the next day.” - Jennifer Verdon
“I grew up in Beacon and left in 1969 to marry a Canadian and move to Toronto where I have had a wonderful life and marriage. I do subscribe online to the Beacon blog and enjoy it so much....wishing at each reading that I were able to get there to enjoy all the offerings. Thanks so much and keep up the good work. Hopefully, after the pandemic, I can get there for a few days....cheers”

I just want to say Thank You for doing that - it really means a lot to me that you streamline info and I can access it in an orderly way. It’s so different than the wild panic from other sources. So, thanks!!”

“thanks Katie and the entire ALBB team for continuing to publish informative posts, as well as personal and business updates on Instagram. Your work is supporting readers - even in far-flung burbs like Somers, NY - to find community and a bit of humor in this hard time. Thank you!
“Thanks for all you do to keep Beacon informed!”
“Dear Katie,
You've been a guiding light for so many people since moving to Beacon. You helped put Beacon on the map and now you’ve helped us stop the proposed cell tower in our backyard. The planning board voted against it and I believe the change.org petition made a difference. There may be a fight from the Tower company but we’ll keep pushing back!
Below is my backyard - the cell tower would have been a huge monstrosity towering over my yard at 550 feet away…. Thank you for your help!
Stay safe!”
