People in the tri-state area (and all over the nation) discover A Little Beacon Blog quickly when they are Googling things to do in Beacon, from shopping to restaurants to classes. No other local publication does it like we do, and our community loves us for it!
ALBB’s cultivated Guides are all-inclusive. We know that not all small businesses can afford to advertise in a Guide, so we list much of what we know. The only way we can do this is with Sponsor Support! Some businesses do subscribe to our advertising program, where they can control their message when we promote them weekly.
For other Guides, we rely on Corporate or Individual Sponsorship to keep them updated. Your business can help keep these listings free for most artists, non-profits, small businesses, and special initiatives.
How It Works
A Little Beacon Blog maintains these Guides on a daily basis. Most are all year round, and some are seasonal. Those are indicated below. You may pick one Guide to sponsor, however discounts are available if you sponsor more than one Guide. These are subscription-based, meaning your ad will run month-to-month until you pause. No commitment required.

SECOND SATURDAY ART GALLERY GUIDE
Beacon is a destination for people looking for art and experiencing it in galleries, restaurants and even barber shops. Your sponsorship helps keep these listings free for artists. Artists do have the opportunity to also advertise in order to enhance their listing and have Instagram features. However, without ongoing Corporate or Individual Sponsorship, we cannot do the free listings for everyone.
FOOD PANTRY/SOUP KITCHEN GUIDE
Especially important for people who need assistance and are Googling where to get it. Information is vast, and ALBB condenses this knowledge in one place. We make updates to it, like with donation links to new food organizations, or if pickup days have changed. Your support of this Guide helps us stay on top if it faster. When we make updates, your business will be thanked in our social media share of the update.
5% of proceeds for sponsorships of the Food Pantry/Soup Kitchen Guide will go to one of the organizations listed in those guides on a rotating basis.
CLASSES FOR ADULTS
One of our most favorite Guides, this compiles all of the random and regular classes made available to adults and seniors. These get featured in ALBB’s weekly newsletter for upcoming dates, or reminders about what is always available.
CLASSES FOR KIDS
So many great options for kids! This Guide lists programs we hear about for kids so that parents and caregivers have it all in one place. Businesses to have the opportunity to enhance their free listing and schedule when we promote them with a subscription advertising, but your sponsorship enables ALBB to keep sourcing these opportunities no matter what.
BEACON CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS
All links and Agenda items listed here have been taken from the City of Beacon's public website and Agenda section here at this link. They live in A Little Beacon Blog and are updated weekly - compling Workshop Agendas, City Council Meetings, Zoning Meetings, and Planning Board Meetings. Videos of these meetings are also included.

Beacon City Schools (BSCD) PTO/A OPPORTUNITIES

There is a lot of hard work going on within the schools that parents, teachers and staff are doing. This Guide supports those efforts by being a central list of what kind of fundraising opportunities are happening. We can only do this with Corporate or Individual Sponsorship.
Kids Sports

When sports season is in season, registration dates are zinging around the minds of every parent and caregiver. Where to register? Who is offering what? This Guide is a list of all of it in one place. Usually gathered from word of mouth, because flyers and signs are awesome, but one just can’t remember it all.
