New Skateboard Shop In Town: Premium Roots New York

Beacon’s tiniest sidewalk sign stopped us in our tracks! Premium Roots New York is Beacon’s newest skate shop, with boards from all over the world and local, including Newburgh and Premium Roots’ own line.

Skateboarder gear is also carried in the store, from thick sweatshirts to corduroy ball caps to those signature wide pants. And shoes! Plus, as a bonus surprise, Salt + Umber is also carried in the store, for that smell good factor. ALBB misses them from when they did the collab with Beacon Mercantile those years ago.

Premium Roots is on the east end of town near the mountain, in the former space of David Reeves Bespoke. Like that bespoke designer, Premium Roots also has a store in Brooklyn (David’s showroom is in NYC). Stop in, say hello to the little dog manager. And when you’re done, get hot chocolate at The Chocolate Studio or tea at Miss Tea!
