Here we are again...another rainy Friday before the Spirit of Beacon Day on Sunday, October 1st. But this time...the sun that had been forecast on Sunday has been sticking around on the weather apps. "Thank you everyone for your support and enthusiasm," said the Spirit of Beacon Committee. The biggest news coming out of the postponment was: The Beacon Farmers' Market and Beacon Flea Market get to be OPEN on the Spirit of Beacon Day for the first time ever! The Spirit of Beacon Committee fully supports this decision, and had advocated for it. Read This > Free Parking and a Bus is available to everyone coming in for Spirit of Beacon Day (and for any reason) at the MTA Parking Lot. Dutchess County has dedicated a special bus to pick people up from the train and pickup/drop them at Forrestal Heights and Main Street/Fishkill Avenue. Use this parking lot, as both markets will be occupying their usual municipal lots.
