The Season Of The Spirit Of Beacon Is Here :: Retail Therapy Guide 8/11/2023

The fall breezes are coming...you can feel it. The Spirit Of Beacon Season has officially started. The Spirit of Beacon Committee has been busy announcing their theme for the year: "Level Up" This is a charge to everyone to take that next step in what they want to do - be it a opening a business, saving their apartment from rent increase, getting to know new people, and challenging one self to reach out to try what they wanted to try. As the Committee begins booking the necessary equipment to produce the day, like the tents and the porta-potties, as well as booking the bagpipe band and the Cobra Performing Arts group, they published a Thank You article to the 2022 Sponsors who leveled up so quickly in their time of need last year. Sponsorship for 2023 is opening next week in order to continue this work. Volunteer Meetings are also starting on Tuesday 8/15/2023 at the Howland Public Library for those who want to get involved as a Volunteer. Attending the meetings is not mandatory, and is available in-person or on Zoom. This is a way to come to sign up for what you want to do, and stay in the loop with coordination.
