Pickup Truck Hits Building On Main Street - Driver, Dog, Moose and Building Seem Fine

At a little before 3pm on Tuesday (11/1/2022) afternoon, a gray, 4-door pickup truck was driving east up Main Street toward the mountain when it drifted left, crossed the double yellow line, hit the curb, plowed over a sapling tree, sped passed the moose sculpture made of driftwood, then hit and bounced off of the old brick firehouse building that is currently Hudson Beacon Glass, on the corner of Cross Street and Main Street.

The truck hit the corner of the building, which has a metal pole mounted to it, and bounced off, where it came to a stop, according to a witness. No major damage was done to the building, which is filled with glass blown pieces on shelves for people to buy. A clock did fall off the wall, according to a glass blower working there at the time. Otherwise, nothing shook or shattered, they didn’t think.

According to a witness, the driver was a local Beaconite who was driving with his small black and white dog, when he thought he dozed off at the wheel, perhaps causing his foot to hit the gas pedal as his truck veered left. Upon impact, the airbag deployed. According to the witness, the only injury he sustained was a scratch to his elbow. The driver was not immediately taken by an ambulance after the crash.

After the truck hit the building, a glass blower on the second floor heard the bang. After the bang, another glass blower on the first floor heard a dog barking wildly. According to a witness, a local pedestrian on the sidewalk had been glancing at something nearby, and was about to move forward to study it, when the truck whizzed by them and crashed into the building.

Both the pedestrian and a glass blower immediately assisted the person in the car. After the air bag deployed, it caused smoke to come out, triggering the pedestrian who almost got hit to run toward the vehicle to open it to help the victim and the dog who was barking wildly from inside. Police arrived moments later to block the area. After things settled a bit, the driver could be seen sitting in a stoop of an apartment slightly up the street.

According to a witness, the driver had just completed work to his truck, and was very shaken about the incident.

WITCH HAZEL
176 Main Street, Beacon
Gender is but a construct. But questions roll in and Witch Hazel rolls out answers. Lots of requests lately for dudely gifts, especially things that smell good. Witch Hazel has SO many products and they're ALL great. But if you have a gentleman in your life to gift, then here are some recos:
- Fischersund fragrance sampler! Made by the lead of Sigur Ros, Jónsi, and his fam and closest friends. His dad even stamps the tins! Fragrances are rich, often smoky or leathery. Great for music fans who aspire to smell nice.
- Solid perfume in a tin, also by our buds at Fischersund. Small enough to slip in the ol' pocket, and a v cool way to use a fragrance. Just rub a little on your skin. Done.
- Clean and cozy beard oil (pictured above)
- Ursa Major moisturizer. Made in Vermont, smells like Vermont, super-hydrating for cranky skin. Especially good for weird fall weather and cold winters (we featured this last weekend! A MUST BUY!)
- Riddle Oil in Ex. A hypoallergenic fragrance oil in a handy little roller. Cardamom, sandalwood, light florals, moss and musk. Plz do not use this to tell someone you're dumping them.
- Dilo Palo Santo fragrance. Woodsy, smoky, great for sharing with your partner, etc. etc. Consistent fan favorite at the shop.

Hello! Sweater Weather Is Officially Upon Us! And The Leaves! Wow, Have They Changed! | Retail Therapy 10/14/2022

Calling all adults! Serious. Comedy Theatre has a bunch of fall classes happening! If you're looking for a sign to step out of (or into) your comfort zone, this is it! Improv 101, Stand Up Storytelling, Stand Up Joke Writing, and Sketch Writing classes > Be the star at the Thanksgiving table!

Speaking of Thanksgiving... and fall, have you peaked at the foliage yet?! The colors are here and we wish they'd stay longer! One of our favorite places to leaf peep is right here in Cold Spring! Hudson Highland State Park Reserve also known as the home of Breakneck Ridge. Sure, it's a tough hike but the views are 100% worth it! We also visit Mohonk Preserve yearly for the views. Leaf peeping here is nothing short of stunning! But also, take a walk down Main St. in Beacon and look ahead (towards Trax Coffee Roasters), the mountain view is incredible and totally underrated! If you happen to go leaf-peeping this weekend, don't forget to tag us in your photos! We love to see it.

Anyways, a lot more events happening this weekend and throughout October! Enjoy!

Mini-Soccer Fields (aka Pitches) Honoring USMNT Star Tyler Adams Unveiled In Poughkeepsie

Ahead of this year’s FIFA Men’s World Cup, 2 new mini-pitches were unveiled at Pulaski Park in the City of Poughkeepsie on October 12th at 3:30 p.m. The mini-pitches honor USMNT star soccer player Tyler Adams and were made possible thanks to his personal contribution and contributions from the U.S. Soccer Foundation, Target, the City of Poughkeepsie, and Dutchess County.

Representatives from Tyler’s family, the U.S. Soccer Foundation, the City of Poughkeepsie, and Dutchess County hosted the ribbon cutting ceremony with a video message from Tyler Adams, followed by scrimmages on the pitches with youth from the Poughkeepsie City School District’s soccer teams.

“Building two new mini-pitches in Pulaski Park is such a unique way to give back to the game and to the community where I first started,” said Tyler Adams. “Through these pitches, more children in Poughkeepsie can learn values that they will take with them well beyond their playing careers – the same values that I learned through my support system. Thanks to my family’s support and to all partners involved in this amazing process and creating an environment where kids can blossom.”

According to Dutchess County, this project builds on more than 100 mini-pitches the U.S. Soccer Foundation and Target have installed together since 2018 and marks the latest development in the U.S. Soccer Foundation’s It’s Everyone’s Game national movement to ensure children in underserved communities can enjoy the health and youth development benefits of the game. To date, the U.S. Soccer Foundation has installed more than 500 mini-pitches nationwide. The goal is to install 1,000 by 2026.

City of Poughkeepsie Mayor Rob Rolison said, “We are pleased to see the opening of the mini-pitches, a collaborative project that went from concept to completion within a matter of months. We thank our partners the U.S. Soccer Foundation and Dutchess County for their financial and staff support to help see this project to fruition. The mini-pitches are part of a much broader, multimillion dollar initiative by the city to make upgrades to the park system, and it’s fulfilling to see these projects getting completed for our residents to enjoy.”

About The U.S. Soccer Foundation

The U.S. Soccer Foundation’s programs are the national model for sports-based youth development in underserved communities. Since its founding in 1994, the Foundation has established programs proven to help children embrace an active and healthy lifestyle while nurturing their personal growth beyond sports. Its cost-effective, high-impact initiatives offer safe environments where kids and communities thrive. Headquartered in Washington, D.C., the U.S. Soccer Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization. For more information, visit ussoccerfoundation.org or follow us on Twitter and Facebook.

WITCH HAZEL
176 Main Street, Beacon
Witch Hazel is a modern-day apothecary that taps into the calming beauty of nature. Back in 2019, Jill Hilbrenner started designing floral arrangements after spending the better part of the year tackling health issues. After getting the energy to get out of bed and “do things,” she went on a search to “do something pretty, just for the hell of it.” What started as a hobby in her apartment turned into an obsession that sparked the idea for this shop: the idea that the Earth creates the most beautiful gifts you could ever want. Read more about Witch Hazel here >
PS Fun facts: the products shown in the photo are great for travel, gifts, denying the end of summer, and looking dang cute! Ask Jill all about them in the shop! Or shop online >

October?! How'd You Get Here So Quickly?!

*|MC:SUBJECT|*

We'd be lying if we said October wasn't our favorite month! Not cold enough & full of festivities! Plus, we're here for the pumpkins - the seed baking, the puree making, the carving, the pumpkin pies, the ciders, the decorations... all of it! Pumpkins available at Bretts Hardware! Get em! We're also here for the Fall foods... the soups, the apple cider donuts, chili ... we could go on and on. You get the point.

But also - we live in the BEST (in our opinion) place for hiking! And let's face it... Hudson Valley fall hikes are breathtaking - for weather and for scenery. Some of our favorites include Storm King, Mount Beacon, Breakneck, Kaaterskill Falls, Anthony's Nose, and so much more! If you do go on any hikes, be sure to tag us on Instagram, so we can see!

Enjoy your first weekend of October!

PS: In perfect October fashion, several October 1 events are scheduled despite the hurricane rain. Always a tough call. Some are rain or shine. Stony Kill moved their Harvest Festival to their rain date of Sunday. Where can you enjoy a show in the evening inside? From Serious. Comedy Theatre! See details below. Also see below for Eat Church's soup that is about to warm your bones.

Panel Discussion Following Screening Of Film Documenting Injustice Of Parole Release Hearings - Story Screen Theater - Happening Tonight

THE FILM, WHICH FEATURES FORMERLY INCARCERATED ADVOCATES AND FORMER PAROLE COMMISSIONERS WHO EXPOSE THE BOARD’S LAWLESS ADDICTION TO PUNISHMENT, MAKES THE CASE FOR REFORM

WHAT: A screening of “The Interview”, a short film exposing the injustices of parole release hearings, followed by a panel featuring people directly impacted by New York’s prison system and unjust Parole Board. The film features members of the Release Aging People in Prison (RAPP) Campaign, and other formerly incarcerated advocates, who each faced as many as ten parole denials despite having transformed their lives while behind bars many years earlier. In addition, two Parole Commissioners appear in the film and, in very different ways, articulate how the Parole Board makes decisions about the release of people based solely on the nature of their crime, even after they have already served a minimum sentence.

The Q&A after the film will feature panelists who have been directly impacted by incarceration and the parole process in New York.

WHERE: Story Screen Theater, 445 Main St, Beacon, NY 12508

WHEN: Thursday, September 29th at 7pm

HOW TO GET TICKETS: Click here >

WHO: The screening is hosted by Beacon Prison Rides Program and Beacon Prison Books Project, in partnership with the Release Aging People in Prison Campaign and the People’s Campaign for Parole Justice. Panelists include RAPP Executive Director Jose Saldana, RAPP Westchester Community Leader Greg Mingo, Beacon Prison Rides member, Ms. John, and After Incarceration Co-Director, Jose Pineda.

The Beacon Prison Rides Project is a volunteer-run organization providing free rides for families between the Beacon train station and Beacon-area prisons. Since November 2017, Beacon Prison Rides has provided an alternative to costly taxis or prison vans, providing more than 1,800 rides for more than 200 people visiting their incarcerated loved ones. Find out more about the project and about how to request rides, volunteer, or donate here >

The Beacon Prison Books Project is an organization that provides books to incarcerated persons throughout New York State, by request. People who are incarcerated in NYS use free postcards or simply write to us at our P.O. Box to request books or book recommendations. Then we order the books, connect with individual sponsors, pack up the books, and send them to the person who made the request. Most of this activity happens through Binnacle Books in Beacon, NY. Learn more here >

The People’s Campaign for Parole Justice is a new, statewide, grassroots campaign pushing for parole reform in New York State. The campaign platform is supported by over 350 organizations across New York State and led by a coalition of the state’s biggest and most influential social justice and criminal justice groups, including the Release Aging People in Prison Campaign, Parole Preparation Project, VOCAL-NY, Citizen Action, New Hour for Women and Children, NY Communities for Change, Center for Community Alternatives, Osborne Association, NYCLU, FWD.us, #HALTsolitary Campaign, Legal Aid Society, Center for Justice at Columbia, CUNY Law Defenders Clinic, and NYU Law's Center on Race, Inequality, and the Law.

BACKGROUND:
Nearly 1 in 4 people from Dutchess county incarcerated in New York State prisons is over the age of 50, which many departments of corrections across the country define as “older” due to accelerated aging behind bars. About 63 percent are people of color, even though people of color only make up 23 percent of the general population of Dutchess county, and many are serving long sentences with few opportunities for release based on their rehabilitation and current readiness for release. Without parole reform, many will never make it out of prison.

Racism infects the parole release system just as it does every element of the criminal legal system. A white person in a New York prison is significantly more likely on average to be released on parole than a Black or Latinx person and the disparity widened in 2020, according to a Times Union analysis of the nearly 19,000 parole board decisions over the last two years. The data, which spans October 2018 through October 2020, shows the Parole Board granted parole release to 41 percent of white people, compared to 34 percent of Black people and 33 percent of Latinx people. Importantly, these racial disparities are not new. In 2016, the New York Times conducted an investigation of parole release data and similarly found Black and Latinx people were significantly less likely to be released than their white counterparts.

The People’s Campaign for Parole Justice is calling on lawmakers in Albany to pass two bills that will address this pandemic behind bars and prevent similar tragedies in the future:

Elder Parole (S.15/A.3475) would allow the State Board of Parole to provide an evaluation for potential parole release to incarcerated people aged 55 and older who have already served 15 or more years, including some of the state’s oldest and sickest incarcerated people.

Fair and Timely Parole (S.1415/A.4231) would provide more meaningful parole reviews for incarcerated people who are already parole-eligible.

The Campaign is also calling on Governor Hochul to fully staff the Parole Board with 19 Commissioners who come from communities that have been directly affected by mass incarceration and who have professional and clinical backgrounds in areas such as social work, nursing, reentry services, and other fields that allow them to evaluate incarcerated people for who they are today. The Board currently has three vacancies.

From the film:
Former Parole Commissioner Carol Shapiro said, “The research is so clear on this, and has been for years,” regarding low reincarceration rates in New York State among people convicted of murder who are subsequently released on parole. Keeping people incarcerated for decades—well into old age—has changed the very nature of prisons, she says: “We are running geriatric institutions in America right now.”

Dutchess County to Host ‘ThinkDIFFERENTLY’ Sensory-Friendly Movie Day

Poughkeepsie … Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro invites residents of all abilities and their families to a free sensory-sensitive screening of Pixar’s Academy Award-winning film, “Inside Out,” on Saturday, Oct. 15th, at the Bardavon Opera House, 35 Market Street in Poughkeepsie. As part of this special “ThinkDIFFERENTLY” event, the theater will adjust both the lighting and sound to make the experience more enjoyable for those on the autism spectrum or who experience sensory issues. Individuals, families and support agencies are all invited to this free event.

County Executive Molinaro said, “It can be a challenge for individuals with disabilities and their families to enjoy what may seem like a simple outing to some, like going to the movies. We wanted to give all families an opportunity to have fun and take part in a movie experience. Dutchess County is thrilled to partner with the Bardavon to host this movie event, where everyone can relax and enjoy this award-winning movie.”
For additional details, residents can view the event flyer online.

The movie event is the first of three ThinkDIFFERENTLY events the County is sponsoring at the Bardavon in the coming months: “Talking Birds and Golden Fish: A Collection of Global Animal Tales” with David Gonzalez will take place on Nov. 10th, as well as an hour-long, sensory-sensitive performance of “The Nutcracker” on Dec. 9th.

Established in 2015, the ThinkDIFFERENTLY initiative seeks to change the way individuals, businesses, organizations and communities relate to individuals with special needs. Following Dutchess County’s example, more than 100 municipalities throughout New York State have passed ThinkDIFFERENTLY resolutions, committing to create a more inclusive and supportive environment for individuals of all abilities.

Dutchess County remains committed to providing events to those of all abilities, hosting several such events in 2022, including ThinkDIFFERENTLY Thursday at the Dutchess County Fair – which gives individuals of all abilities the opportunity to enjoy the fair without the drawbacks that lights, sounds and crowds can cause – and ThinkDIFFERENTLY Fitness & Field Day at Bowdoin Park, highlighting health and nutrition for people of every ability.

Complimentary Screening of Pixar hit “Inside Out”
Day: Saturday, Oct. 15, 2022
Time: 11am
Location: Bardavon 1869 Opera House, 35 Market Street, Poughkeepsie, NY

A 4th tour will be added if needed. There is something here for everyone! This event is part of Hudson Valley Climate Solutions Week.

You can make a tax deductible pledge here at SOON IS NOW and thank you! We encourage using public transportation, carpooling and walking because parking is limited at Long Dock Park. Overflow parking is available a short walk away at the Beacon Metro North train station where parking is free on the weekends.

This project was supported, in part, by a Foundation for Contemporary Arts Emergency Grant.

Cheers To The Weekend! And Chillier Mornings And Second Saturday!

Second Saturday is here! The art galleries are changing, like the leaves on the trees soon will be! Small and large, galleries are located up and down Main Street, and sometimes in houses. Do visit BAU and Maria Lago galleries on the east end of town, as the sculptures and paintings in their windows have been transforming.

Use A Little Beacon Blog’s exclusive Art Gallery Guide to plot out your art hop, and report back to us in Instagram by tagging us with your photos of what you find (and maybe buy!)

In the mean time, we're holding on to summer a little longer with Summer Love soap from Salleyander - an essential! Make with olive oil, rose, vetiver, and jasmine essential oils. Picked up this one (and a eucalyptus for next time) at the Beacon Farmers Market last weekend! Summer Love is limited edition... head there this weekend to see if it's still available! Fingers crossed because it's so good! And if it is available, snag 3 for only $25 because you'll want this even in the colder months,

Also snagged some bone-in pork chops from Eggberts but can't attach a photo because we ate them too quickly!

Anyway... we hope you made it through your first week of September (and maybe back to school) with nothing but good vibes. We don't know about you but we are digging the chilly early mornings! They're perfect for light layers, strolls down main street, picking up a coffee from Beacon Bread Company, and not feeling so sweaty as soon as you wake up! We're here for it, September! Keep it comin'.

Also... school buses are out! Don't give them a hard time - especially if you're stuck behind them. They are literally doing their job! Getting kids to school safely!

WITCH HAZEL
176 Main Street, Beacon
You know it's going to be a good weekend when Witch Hazel announces that they're now carrying what's bound to be your new favorite skincare brand: WLDKAT!!! WLDKAT is the no-BS, never-boring creation of Amy Zunzunegui. She's a bad b*tch, and she created (literally) thousands of products at Urban Decay over the course of 20 years. Yep, she knows her stuff. Now she's running @wldkat_skin, and your skin will love her for that. The brand is vegan, cruelty-free, transparent about its sustainability commitments, and full of clean formulas that actually work. This tonic, for example? Magic juice! Took 3 minutes (I counted) to disappear off the shelves today. Pop by the Main Street shop all weekend or go online anytime. They've got more tonic on the way, plus a full collection you'll want to check out. Oh, and this is wild: Nothing's over $25

BINNACLE BOOKS
321 Main Street, Beacon

Maya Abu Al-Hayyat, “You Can Be the Last Leaf: Selected Poems” -- “Here, private and public domains are inseparable. Desire, loss, and violence permeate the walls of the home, the borders of the mind. And yet that mind is full of its own fierce and funny voice, its own preoccupations and strangenesses. ‘It matters to me,’ writes Abu Al-Hayyat, ‘what you’re thinking now / as you coerce your kids to sleep / in the middle of shelling’: whether it’s coming up with ‘plans / to solve the world’s problems,’ plans that ‘eliminate longing from stories, remove exhaustion from groans,’ or dreaming ‘of a war / that’s got no war in it,’ or proclaiming that ‘I don’t believe in survival.’ In ‘You Can Be the Last Leaf’, Abu Al-Hayyat has created a richly textured portrait of Palestinian interiority—at once wry and romantic, worried and tenacious, and always singing itself.”

Beacon Declares Stage 1 Drought Emergency - Municipal Water Use Restrictions

Mayor Lee Kyriacou announced a Stage 1 Drought Emergency on August 31, 2022, as the grass is browner on every side of the street, and leaves on trees are beginning to turn brown not from fall coming, but from the heat wave. This isn’t the first time in recent years, as we had a Stage 1 Drought in 2019. There was a Stage 1 Drought Alert in August 2015, which became a Stage 2 Drought Emergency a month later in September. According to the Mayor’s press release, “these restrictions are reserved for when reservoir levels reach 60% of capacity and are outlined by Chapter 24 of the City Code.“

In the past, the former City Administrator Anthony Ruggiero provided regular water reports at public City Council Meetings if things were looking dry and reservoirs trending low. The City’s Superintendent of Beacon’s Water and Sewer Department. Ed Balicki, would give updates on rainfall and explain what was happening.

This year, while no surprise that Beacon is in a drought, and is not the only one throughout the world who is suffering from the heat, the community did not receive the same amount of in-advance updates to make the declaration less of a surprise.

Restrictions On Municipal Water Include:

No person or entity shall cause, permit or allow:

(a) The continuing leak or waste from any water pipe, valve, faucet, conduit, equipment, facility, or device connected to the City of Beacon water system, or which utilizes City of Beacon water, on or in any premises owned, leased, managed, operated, or controlled by such person or entity.

(b) The washing of any vehicle by means of a hose, fire hydrant, or other active source connection to the City of Beacon water system, except a commercial vehicle washing operation if equipment has been installed and is utilized so that at least 50% of the water used is recirculated by means of a system approved by the Department, or high-pressure restrictor hoses may be used in a coin-operated car wash.

(c) The washing of any street, sidewalk, driveway, outdoor area, outdoor steps, building exterior, or other structures by means of a hose, fire hydrant, or other active source connected to the City of Beacon water system or which utilizes City of Beacon water.

(d) The use of water from any source for any ornamental purpose, including but not limited to use in fountains, artificial waterfalls, reflecting pools, lakes and ponds.

(e) The use of water from the City of Beacon water system to water any lawn, golf course, ornamental shrub, plant, or tree, except that:

[1] City of Beacon water may be used to water any lawn, tree, shrub, garden or golf course, greens and tees only from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

[2] City of Beacon water may be used at any time to irrigate, from a hand-held container, vegetables or fruits for human consumption.

[3] Plant nurseries and other commercial users engaged in the business of growing, distributing, or selling plants may use such water on their business premises for watering ornamental shrubs, plants, or trees, provided that each user reduces its use of water by 15% or such other percentages as may (hereafter) be prescribed for nonresidential water users.

(f) The opening or use of any fire hydrant, or of the water there from, for any purpose other than fire protection except in accordance with a permit obtained from the Water Department and only for the period of and the purpose authorized by such permit and in strict adherence to all terms and conditions set forth therein.

(g) The operation of an air-conditioning system utilizing water from the City of Beacon water system in a cooling tower, unless within 30 days from the effective date of this chapter a separate meter is installed to continuously measure the flow of water to the cooling tower or the water is recirculated.

(h) The operation of any air-conditioning system in excess of two tons of rated capacity or greater or any refrigeration unit rated at 10 horsepower or greater using water from the City of Beacon water system unless such air-conditioning system or refrigeration unit is equipped with a water recirculating device approved by the Department.

(i) The use of water from the City of Beacon water system to fill or maintain the water level in any swimming pool, except that, provided the pool is operated with recirculating equipment, City water may be used to fill the pool once during each calendar year and thereafter may be used as necessary to maintain the water level in such pool.

(2) Each nonresidential user of water from the City of Beacon water system shall prepare and retain a water consumption reduction plan enabling it to reduce its use of water in stages of 15%, 20% and 25% based upon its water consumption during the calendar year. Such plans shall be designed to achieve and maintain a reduction of 15%, 20% or 25% immediately upon the declaration of a Stage I, Stage II or Stage III emergency, respectively. Each such user shall promptly implement the first phase of its plan during Stage I and shall reduce its consumption by 15%. On and after 30 days from the effective date of this chapter, each such user shall have its water consumption reduction plan available at all times for inspecting and copying by employees of the Department.

Clearwater Re-Launches Young Women At The Helm Youth Empowerment Program

This press release just in from Clearwater…

BEACON, NY – After a two year COVID hiatus, Clearwater proudly welcomed the return of their Young Women at the Helm youth empowerment program last week. Participants ranged from ages 14-18 years, joining Clearwater from NYC, Westchester, Beacon, Poughkeepsie, and New Jersey. This entirely donor-funded program is designed to empower young women by engaging them in a wide range of physical and academic activities. Onboard, participants learned and practiced sailing deck skills, knot tying, coiling lines, and navigation. They also learned about the Hudson River through a variety of lenses, including water quality, ecology, and Indigenous Peoples.

In the evening, the group had a sunset seine on the beach in Alpine and camped on shore, where they shared reflections on the day, asked crew questions about Clearwater, sailing, college, career paths, and of course, they sang together.

Participant Samantha L. said, “Everyone here is so different, which meant that every conversation was different and I got to learn a lot more.” Samantha continued, “I never thought I would feel so in touch with myself and with the earth that I do now. Being on this boat and camping gives a lot of time to just stop and take in the world around you, which we don’t get often in regular life. I’ve definitely grown as a person and had so much fun trying new things.”

The program was led by Outreach and Engagement Manager Amali Knobloch, First Mate Fredi Guevara-Prip, Captain Annika Savio, Program Director Ruthie Gold, and the entire crew of the Clearwater.

Program Director, Ruthie Gold commented on this year’s program, "It was amazing to see the transformation of our participants from shy, quiet, teens, to funny, bright, passionate-about-the-River friends in a matter of hours! We are thrilled that we were able to share the magic of the Hudson and the Clearwater with these young women and look forward to offering Young Women at the Helm and our other Youth Empowerment Programs next summer."
